Hangman is a word guessing game. Start by selecting which level you would like to play, 1 through 5. This version uses the classic hangman rules with a few new twists.

Try to guess what the target word is by clicking on the letters from the alphabet panel. If the letter is in the word it will appear in the "Target Word". If the letter does not match then it will show up in the "Strikes" section.

When you miss a letter a part of the Hangman is drawn. Levels 1 and 2 allow up to 10 strikes. Levels 3 through 5 allow 6 strikes.

Levels 1 through 2 also have an added feature to help younger players. After 6 strikes an image will appear that says "Hear the word". Clicking on the image will allow the player to hear the word spoken aloud. This feature helps younger readers to learn to spell words that they may not know.
